Thiago de Mello, em "Faz escuro mas eu canto"
Água de remanso
Cismo o sereno silêncio:
sou: estou humanamente
em paz comigo: ternura.
Cismo o sereno silêncio:
sou: estou humanamente
em paz comigo: ternura.
Paz que dói, de tanta.
Mas orvalho. Em seu bojo
estou e vou, como sou.
Mas orvalho. Em seu bojo
estou e vou, como sou.
Ternura: maneira funda,
cristalina do meu ser.
Água de remanso, mansa
brisa, luz de amanhecer.
cristalina do meu ser.
Água de remanso, mansa
brisa, luz de amanhecer.
Nunca é a mágoa mordendo.
Jamais a turva esquivança,
o apego ao cinzento, ao úmido,
a concha que aquece na alma
uma brasa de malogro.
Jamais a turva esquivança,
o apego ao cinzento, ao úmido,
a concha que aquece na alma
uma brasa de malogro.
É ter o gosto da vida,
amar o festivo, o claro,
é achar doçura nos lances
mais triviais de cada dia.
amar o festivo, o claro,
é achar doçura nos lances
mais triviais de cada dia.
Pode também ser tristeza:
tranquilo na solidão macia.
Apaziguado comigo,
meu ser me sabe: e me finca
no fulcro vivo da vida.
tranquilo na solidão macia.
Apaziguado comigo,
meu ser me sabe: e me finca
no fulcro vivo da vida.
Sou: estou e canto.

Mariza - Há Palavras Que Nos Beijam
Há palavras que nos beijam
Como se tivessem boca.
Palavras de amor, de esperança,
De imenso amor, de esperança louca.
Palavras nuas que beijas
Quando a noite perde o rosto;
Palavras que se recusam
Aos muros do teu desgosto.
De repente coloridas
Entre palavras sem cor,
Esperadas inesperadas
Como a poesia ou o amor.
(O nome de quem se ama
Letra a letra revelado
No mármore distraído
No papel abandonado)
Palavras que nos transportam
Aonde a noite é mais forte,
Ao silêncio dos amantes
Abraçados contra a morte.
Como se tivessem boca.
Palavras de amor, de esperança,
De imenso amor, de esperança louca.
Palavras nuas que beijas
Quando a noite perde o rosto;
Palavras que se recusam
Aos muros do teu desgosto.

Lindolf Bell - em "O Código das Águas"
A palavra destino
Deixai vir a mim
a palavra destino.
Deixai vir a mim
a palavra destino.
Manhã de surpresas, lascívia e gema.
Acasos felizes, deslizes.
Ovo dentro da ave dentro do ovo.
Palavra folha e flor.
Acasos felizes, deslizes.
Ovo dentro da ave dentro do ovo.
Palavra folha e flor.
Deixai vir a mim palavra
e seus versos, reversos:
metamorfose,
metaformosa.
e seus versos, reversos:
metamorfose,
metaformosa.
Deixai vir a mim
a palavra pão-de-consolo.
Livre de ataduras, esparadrapos,
choques elétricos
e sutis guardanapos em seco engolidos socos.
a palavra pão-de-consolo.
Livre de ataduras, esparadrapos,
choques elétricos
e sutis guardanapos em seco engolidos socos.
Deixai vir a mim
a palavra intumescida pelo desejo .
a palavra em alvoroço sutil, ardil
e ave na folhagem da memória.
A palavra estremecida entre a palavra.
A palavra entre o som
mas entre o silêncio do som.
a palavra intumescida pelo desejo .
a palavra em alvoroço sutil, ardil
e ave na folhagem da memória.
A palavra estremecida entre a palavra.
A palavra entre o som
mas entre o silêncio do som.
Deixai vir a mim
a palavra entre homem e homem.
E a palavra entre o homem
e seu coração posto à prova
na liberdade da palavra coração.
a palavra entre homem e homem.
E a palavra entre o homem
e seu coração posto à prova
na liberdade da palavra coração.
Deixai vir a mim
a palavra destino.
a palavra destino.

Olavo Bilac - ‘Tarde’
Dualismo
Pobre, no bem como no mal, padeces;
E, rolando num vórtice vesano,
Oscilas entre a crença e o desengano,
Entre esperanças e desinteresses.
E, rolando num vórtice vesano,
Oscilas entre a crença e o desengano,
Entre esperanças e desinteresses.
Capaz de horrores e de ações sublimes,
Não ficas das virtudes satisfeito,
Nem te arrependes, infeliz, dos crimes:
Não ficas das virtudes satisfeito,
Nem te arrependes, infeliz, dos crimes:
E, no perpétuo ideal que te devora,
Residem juntamente no teu peito
Um demônio que ruge e um deus que chora.
Residem juntamente no teu peito
Um demônio que ruge e um deus que chora.

TONY JOE WHITE - Polk Salad Annie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E3uYw7QDEg
Some of you all never been down South too much...
I' gonna tell you a little story, so you'll understand where I'm talking about
Down there we have a plant that grows out in the woods and the fields,
and it looks something like a turnip green.
Everybody calls it Polk salad. Now that's Polk salad.
Used to know a girl that lived down there and
she'd go out in the evenings to pick a mess of it...
Carry it home and cook it for supper, 'cause that's about all they had to eat,
But they did all right.
Down in Louisiana
Where the alligators grow so mean
Lived a girl that I swear to the world
Made the alligators look tame
Polk salad Annie
'Gators got your granny
Everybody said it was a shame
For the mama was working on the chain-gang
What a mean, vicious woman
Everyday before suppertime
She'd go down by the truck patch
And pick her a mess of Polk salad
And carry it home in a tote sack
Polk salad Annie
'Gators got you granny
Everybody said it was a shame
'Cause the mama was working on the chain-gang
Whoo, how wretched, dispiteful, straight-razor totin' woman,
Lord have mercy.
Sock a little Polk salad to him
Yeah, you know what, yeah, yeah
But daddy was a lazy and a no-count
Claimed he had a bad back
All her brothers were fit for
Was stealing watermelons out of my truck
For once Polk salad Annie
'Gators got your granny
Everybody said it was a shame
For the mama was working on the chain-gang
Sock a little Polk salad to him
You know what meets a meal mention
You sock a little
Hey, hey, hey, yeah, yeah
Chic a bon, chic a bon, chic a bon bon bon bon
Chic a bon, chic a bon, chic a bon bon bon bon
Sock a little Polk salad to him
You know what meets a meal mention
Sock a little Polk salad to him
You know what meets a meal mention
Chinc, chinc, chinc, chin, ling, ling ling

HURRICANE SMITH - DON'T LET IT DIE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PgG1QZs_0A
The riverside where the water flows forever
The jungle life of mystery
The wide and graceful history of life
Don't let it die
Don't let it die
The tiger's free, the kangaroo
It's up to me and up to you
What we see is what we choose
What we keep or what we lose forever
The world is ours to tear apart
But what if it's too late to start again?
Don't let it die
Don't let it die
Or say good-bye - amen
Don't let it die
Don't let it die
Or say good-bye in the end
HURRICANE SMITH - DON'T LET IT DIE
Don't Let It Die
The mountainside, the flower growsThe riverside where the water flows forever
The jungle life of mystery
The wide and graceful history of life
Don't let it die
Don't let it die
The tiger's free, the kangaroo
It's up to me and up to you
What we see is what we choose
What we keep or what we lose forever
The world is ours to tear apart
But what if it's too late to start again?
Don't let it die
Don't let it die

Don't let it die
Don't let it die
Or say good-bye in the end

Kiri Te Kanawa - So in love
So In Love
Kiri Te Kanawa - So in love
So In Love
Strange dear, but true dear
When I'm close to you, dear
The stars fill the sky
So in love with you am I
Even without you
My arms fold about you
You know darling why
So in love with you am I
In love with the night mysterious
The night when you first were there
In love with my joy delirious
When I knew that you could care
So taunt me, and hurt me
Deceive me, desert me
I'm yours, till I die
So in love... So in love
So in love with you, my love... am I

Kiri Te Kanawa - Speak Low
Speak low when you speak, love
Our summer day withers away too soon, too soon
Speak low when you speak, love
Our moment is swift, like ships adrift, we're swept apart, too soon
Speak low, darling, speak low
Love is a spark, lost in the dark too soon, too soon
I feel wherever I go that tomorrow is near, tomorrow is here and always too soon
Time is so old and love so brief
Love is pure gold and time a thief
We're late, darling, we're late
The curtain descends, everything ends too soon, too soon
I wait, darling, I wait
Will you speak low to me, speak love to me and soon

If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show the you I've come to know.
If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you,
You're all that's left me too.
And when my love for life is running dry,
You come and pour yourself on me.
If a man could be two places at one time,
I'd be with you.
Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way.
If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die,
I'd spend the end with you.
And when the world was through,
Then one by one the stars would all go out,
Then you and I would simply fly away
If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show the you I've come to know.
If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you,
You're all that's left me too.
